Hi, I’m Evelyn Starr— a children’s author, creative storyteller, and working flight attendant who believes that every great journey begins with imagination. My debut picture book, Skye Takes Flight!, was inspired by my adventures in the skies and the countless little travelers I’ve met along the way.

Through the story of Skye, a bright and curious suitcase, and her friends Gypsy and Atlas, I wanted to capture the joy of discovery, friendship, and courage that travel brings to life. Being a flight attendant has given me a front-row seat to the wonder of exploration — from a child’s excitement before takeoff to the kindness shared among passengers from all over the world. Those moments fuel my writing and remind me that adventure isn’t just about where you go, but how you experience the world around you.

When I’m not flying or writing, I love connecting with readers, teachers, and families who share my passion for curiosity and creativity. I’m also passionate about encouraging women — especially those juggling multiple dreams — to live with faith, grace, and confidence.

Everything I create, whether it’s a story, a smile, or a spark of encouragement, comes from a simple belief: life is an adventure meant to be embraced with heart, imagination, and joy.
